William F. Drouin

June 2, 1947 — February 11, 2022

William Francis Drouin, affectionately known as “Bill” or “Billy”, age 74, of Taunton, passed away on February 11, 2022,at Morton Hospital. He was the husband of LuAnn (Bridges) Drouin.

Born in Marlboro, he was the son of the late Leon W. Drouin and Virginia P. (Morse) Drouin.

He worked as a master carpenter for many years and most recently worked for Epernay Construction.

Bill enjoyed Harley Davidson Motorcycles, word searches, adult Lego’s, drawing/sketching, and puzzles. He played softball for many years. He also had a great love for horses and horseback riding.

Billy was a very kind and gentle soul who always put others before himself. He was known to give great hugs and always said “I love you!”. Bill was a great storyteller, and his presence was always known in the room.

In addition to his wife, he leaves his children, Kimberly Drouin, of Milford, Michael R. Drouin, of Winchendon, Charlene L. Drouin, of Norton; stepchildren, Kim Courtney, Julie Sullivan, and TJ Sullivan; two sisters, Linda Waeger, and her husband, Michael, of Salisbury, NC and Diane Wright, and her husband, Sammy, of Greenbrier, TN; many grandchildren, many great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late William F. Drouin, Jr.,and brother of the late Vaughn R. Drouin, Kenneth A. Drouin, and James M. Drouin.

To honor his family’s wishes, a celebration of life will be held at a later date.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, of Taunton.
