Stephen Caruso

June 6, 1961 — February 6, 2025

Stephen Caruso, age 63, of Sandwich, passed away on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at St. Luke’s Hospital in New Bedford after a period of declining health.

Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Emilio D. and Catherine T. (Cronin) Caruso.

He enjoyed spending time at community connections during the day, being outside on the hammock enjoying the day, and going for walks with the residential home staff.

Stephen is survived by his siblings, Peter Caruso and his wife Nancy of Newton and Regina Santamaria and her husband Alan of Cranston, RI; a sister-in-law Deborah Caruso of Plymouth; two nieces, Ava Santamaria and Cassandra Caruso; and two nephews, John Caruso and Nick Caruso. He was the brother of the late Michael Caruso.

The family would like to graciously thank the staff from "23 Toms Way" who took great care of him and were his best advocates. They were like family for over twenty years.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit Stephen’s family on Tuesday, February 11, 2025, from 10:00 am to 11:00 am, with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am, at Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
