Phyllis (Rogers) Dixon

Phyllis Dixon (Rogers) 77, of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2022, at Morton Hospital. She was the wife of the late Harold E. Dixon, who passed away in 1988.

Born and raised in Taunton, she was the daughter of the late Manuel and Georgianna (Demoura) Rogers.

She worked as a home health aide and her last ten years before retirement were in the hospice field. An active member in her community, she volunteered her time working in the Taunton Public Library, the Bethany House, and in the gift shop at Morton Hospital.

Mrs. Dixon is survived by her siblings, Debra Smith of FL, David Rogers of WA, Elaine Braga, of Berkley, and Mary Ann Barreira, of Taunton, and many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was the sister of the late Dorothy Sheldon, Walter Rogers, Joseph Rogers, David Rogers, Shirley Hebert, and Georgianna Ferreira.

Her funeral with visitation will be held on Thursday, June 16, 2022, from 8:15 am to 9:15 am, in the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am, in Saint Jude the Apostle Parish, 249 Whittenton Street, Taunton. Interment will follow in Mayflower Hill Cemetery, Taunton.
