Phyllis M. Correia (Machnik) of Taunton, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 17, 2020 after a lengthy illness at the age of 80.
Born in Taunton, she was the the daughter of the late Ned and Mary (Krawczyk) Machnik.
Phyllis resided in Taunton all of her life and graduated from Taunton High School.
She was a loving and caring person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Mrs. Correia enjoyed collecting many things, such as Barbie's and Royal Family and Kennedy memorabilia. She will be missed greatly by her children and grandchildren.
Phyllis was the wife of the late Edward Correia. She is survived by her two loving daughters, Cheryl Dinneen, and her husband, John, of Taunton, and Carol Patenaude, and her husband, Edward, of Taunton; her cherished grandchildren, Jeremy Correia, Justin Dinneen, Corey Dinneen, Danielle Dinneen, and Nicholas Patenaude; her brother, Edward Machnik, of Chelmsford; and as a lifelong lover of cats, she leaves behind Bug's, her cat companion of eleven years. Mrs. Correia was also the sister of the late Evelyn Furmanik.
Due to the current Covid-19 pandemic restrictions placed by the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and the Federal Government, her funeral services will be private. A memorial mass at Holy Rosary Church, interment in Saint Joseph Cemetery, and celebration of her life will be held once the restrictions of social gatherings has been lifted.
