Paul R. Silva
, 79, of Raynham passed away peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2021, at Good Samaritan Medical Center, after a long struggle with Parkinson’s Disease.
Born in Taunton, MA he was the son of the late Joaquin Silva and Grace (Hannant) Silva. He was widowed after 54 years by his wife Barbara J. (Lawrence) Silva the love of his life.
Paul is survived by his daughters Christine J. Macomber of Orange Park, FL and Pamela J. Silva of Middleboro, MA as well as two grandchildren Corey Macomber of Georgia and Jeremy Macomber and twin great grandchildren Zachery and Hailey Macomber all of Florida. He was brother to Carolyn Gorden, the late Edward Silva, and Kathleen Gannaway and uncle to many nieces and nephews. He was a very kind and quiet person with a quick wit that always made you laugh and smile. Before his illness he would always have a helping hand for all his family, friends and acquaintances. He was known to be a very sweet man by all who met him. Paul enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and driving the rubbish truck for his brother-in-law, Gorden Rubbish. Mr. Silva retired from Invensys (Foxboro Co.) in 2007. He cherished spending time with his entire family whether it be for morning coffee break or especially during the many holiday gatherings. He had a true love for their many dogs over the years that were treated like children.
To Honor Paul's wishes there will be no calling hours. A short graveside service will be held on Tuesday, December 21, 2021, at 11:00 am, in the family plot at Pleasant Street Cemetery, Raynham.
