Marcy A. MacGregor

Marcy Alanna MacGregor, age 46, of Hyannis, passed away on August 6, 2024. Left to mourn her loss are her parents, George and Lorraine, her brothers, James and his wife Karen and Matthew and his wife Shannon. She is also survived by her nephews Nicholas, Michael, and Matthew, two nieces Jamie and Genevieve; and her uncle Hank. Her other aunts, uncles, cousins, and special friends are too numerous to mention.

Born in Quincy and raised in Randolph, she most recently resided on the Cape for the past 20 years.

Marcy practiced nursing for the last 15 years, and she was dedicated, caring, and genuinely loved her patients. Caring for the elderly was very important to her and she wanted them to know that she was always there for them and that they were never alone. They would always request her for their visits.

She marched to her own beat and could find humor in difficult situations and was always there for anyone who needed help.

Marcy was a talented artist and found painting to be very therapeutic. She claimed to be a “good witch” and loved going to Salem. In addition, she loved her gargoyles and her black cat, Fraidey. 

Besides her love for painting, she was enormously proud of her woodworking and home improvement skills that she learned from her father. Whenever a tool was missing, he knew where to find it.

Her family will all miss her annual, made-up birthday song. 

“Rest in peace Marcy, you left us much too soon. You are now in the loving arms of your Nonnie”

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Marcy’s family on Sunday, August 18, 2024, from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm, with a prayer service beginning at 1:45 pm, in the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton.
