Leanna M. Perry

Leanna M. Perry, age 35, a loving and devoted mother, passed away on Monday, September 2, 2024 at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro surrounded by her loving family. 

Born in Providence, she was the daughter of Dennis Perry and Lisa Collins. 

She previously resided in Cranston, RI, Cumberland, RI, and most recently Attleboro, MA.

After graduating from Cranston West High School, she earned a second diploma in early childhood development.

Her career was a beautiful reflection of her caring nature. She dedicated herself to the education of others, working first as a special education teacher's assistant within the Woonsocket School System and later transferring to the Cumberland School Department. 

Leanna was passionate about admiring her children on the basketball court, baseball fields, and the stages of dance competitions and recitals. She was proud to be part of anything that they participated in.

In addition to her parents, she leaves her children Dapaul Monroe Perry, Lailah Monroe Perry, and stepson Darius Gillespie; her siblings, William Gilpin, Alexis Andrade, Chelsea Perry, Reed Perry, Samira Perry, and Dennis Perry, Jr.; maternal grandfather David Collins; step mother Genevra Lawrence; four nephews; one niece, and several aunts and uncles. She was the granddaughter of the late Concetta Collins, Dawn Perry, Kenneth Prout.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to join Leanna’s family in celebrating her Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, September 14, 2024 at 10:00 am, in Saint Mary's Church, 1525 Cranston Street, Cranston, RI. Burial will be private.
