Laurence P. “Larry” Sullivan, age 69, of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, August 1, 2024, at the Brigham and Women’s Hospital in Boston. He was the soulmate and companion of Elizabeth J. Papineau for over twenty years.

Born and raised in Worcester, he was the son of the late Paul R. and Dorothy R. (Johnson) Sullivan.

A graduate of Doherty Memorial High School and later attended Worcester Industrial Technical Institute.

Larry honorably served his country proudly in the United States Navy from 1979 to 1982, serving aboard the USS Fulton which supplied submarines. During his time in the Navy, he attended fire school.

He worked as a finish carpenter for several companies over the years.

An avid fisherman and golfer, he loved talking to his friends and family. Larry loved his sons and grandkids. He also had a great sense of humor.

Laurence is survived by his two sons, Paul and Daniel Sullivan, both of Delaware; his former wife and the mother of his two sons, Deborah A. (Fitzgerald) Sullivan also of Delaware; two sisters, Judith Murphy and Christine Vray both of Worcester; two adored grandchildren, Connor and Emily; as well as several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was the brother of the late Patricia Collins.

To honor his wishes, Larry's funeral services will be private and visiting hours will be respectfully omitted.
