John S. Pellegrini, Sr., 82, of Raynham, affectionately known as Jack, passed away on Thursday, October 24, 2024 at Saint Anne's Hospital in Fall River. He was the beloved husband of the late Geraldine (LaPointe) Pellegrini.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Ernest and Stephanie (Chrupcala) Pellegrini.
He graduated from Taunton High School and went on to serve honorably in the United States Coast Guard.
Jack dedicated over forty years of his life to his career as a warehouse supervisor at Hallsmith-Sysco.
A vibrant personality, Jack was known for his giving, generous nature and immense support for his family and friends. He had a tremendous sense of humor and was always joyful. Jack was a member of the PACC and enjoyed the company of friends during his weekly Friday night games of 45. He also had a passion for golfing, bowling, and visiting casinos.
Throughout his life, Jack took joy in coaching youth sports, serving as a softball and hockey coach, He loved going clamming, and cherished trips with his family. Jack's family was the center of his life; and looked forward to playing with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, supporting their activities, and being an integral part of their lives.
He is survived by his children, John S. Pellegrini, Jr. and his wife Jennifer of Lakeville and Kerry Smith and her husband Dean of Raynham; a sister Karen Chausse and her husband Bryant; a sister in law Bethann LaPointe; four grandchildren Christopher Smith, Nicholas Smith and his wife Vanessa, Jillian Pellegrini and her companion Christopher Wyman, and Addison Pellegrini; and 2 great grandchildren, Nathan Smith and Ilayna Smith
Relatives and friends are cordially invited to visit with Jack's family on Tuesday, October 29, 2024, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals & Cremation Services, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton. His funeral will begin at the funeral home on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at 9:45 am, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, in Saint Andrew the Apostle Church, 19 Kilmer Avenue, Taunton. Interment will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, 24 Glebe Street, Taunton.
