James E. Rice, age 55, of Raynham, affectionately known as Jim, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late William and Barbara (Bombardier) Rice.
A graduate of Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School, Jim specialized in Auto Mechanics, a testament to his lifelong passion for cars, particularly old muscle cars.
Jim worked as a commercial painter and manual laborer.
He was known for his brilliant mind and clever wit. He enjoyed solving puzzles and had a unique talent for performing magic tricks and telling jokes, relishing in the spotlight and the joy he brought to those around him.
Jim loved music and movies, especially cult classics, and played baseball during his younger years.
James is survived by his two children, Rachel N. Rice and Ryan J. Rice both of Raynham; and many nieces and nephews. He was the brother of the late Ronald Rice and Kenneth Rice.
To honor his wishes, his funeral services will be private. His interment will take place at Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham at a later date.
