Frank S. Tabak , 81, of Taunton, passed away unexpectedly at his home on Thursday, January 13, 2022. He was the husband of the late Joan A. (Berube) Tabak.
Born in Taunton, he was the son of the late Frank M. and Mary A. (Sivicla) Tabak.
He graduated from Msgr. James Coyle High School, and received a teaching certificate from Boston State College. He proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserves.
Frank worked as a vocational teacher for over 30 years at Bristol Plymouth Regional Technical High School. In addition to his teaching career, he was the owner/operator of Frank’s Auto Body, Inc.
Mr. Tabak was a member of the Taunton Boat Club, Polish American Citizens Club, and the National Rifle Association.
Some of his interests included, airplanes, teaching , visiting the White Mountains of New Hampshire, and cars. He loved to fly and held a private pilots license. He cherished the times flying his personal aircraft with Joan.
A dedicated and dependable man, Frank spent many years at the shop with his family and friends. He enjoyed staying busy and was active within the business. His unique sense of humor kept the days interesting.
Frank leaves his two children, Scott M. Tabak, and his wife, Susan, of Taunton and Lynda L. Tabak, of Taunton; a brother, Michael J. Tabak, of East Falmouth; and two grandchildren, Nicholas, and Jessica Tabak.
Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Frank’s family on Saturday , January 22, 2022, from 8:30 to 9:30 am, in the Sowiecki-Snyder Home for Funerals, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am, in Saint Jude the Apostle Church, 249 Whittenton Street, Taunton. Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend. Interment will follow in Saint Joseph Cemetery, Taunton.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Frank’s memory can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 or to the Wounded Warrior Projects, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675.
