Frank Allen Gilson, Jr

Francis A. Gilson, Jr . “Frank” age 70, of Pawtucket, RI, passed away on Monday, June 19, 2023, unexpectedly at his home.

Born in Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Francis A. and Alice (Carr) Gilson.

He worked in the maintenance department at Butler Hospital for 32 years before retiring.

Frank had a big heart and will be deeply missed. He loved the beach and visits to New Hampshire. A resident of Rhode Island for over 50 years but was raised in New York. He was a good softball player and enjoyed following the Boston Red Sox, New England Patriots, and Boston Celtics teams. You could often find him going for a walk in Swan Point Cemetery in Providence.

He is survived by his sister, Allison Nicolella of Webster, and her children, Joseph, Zachary, and Ashley Nicolella. He was the former companion and dear friend of Donna Robbio, of Cranston, RI.

To honor Frank’s wishes, all funeral services were privately held.
