Emily (Holik) Goldonowicz

Emily J.  Goldonowicz (Holik) 98 years old, passed away peacefully on Friday evening, August 11, 2017 at the Marian Manor in Taunton. She was the beloved wife of the late John M. Goldonowicz.

Born in Fall River, she was a daughter of the late Stanislaw and Katarzyna (Paruch) Holik.

She was educated in Fall River Schools and was a graduate of the LPN Program at Taunton State Hospital. Emily was employed as a LPN at Taunton state Hospital and the Brockton VA Hospital.

Formerly a resident of Raynham, she belonged to the Raynham Sociables, the Raynham Senior Citizens, and the Holy Rosary Sodality.

She was the mother of the late Michael Goldonowicz, and is survived by her daughter Carol (Joseph) Catanzano of Burlington, MA, son John Goldonowicz of Groton, CT, and daughter-in-law Janice Goldonowicz of Brandon, FL, as well as granddaughters Susan (Jon) McCabe, Kristen Catanzano, Jessica (Eric) DeSalvo, and Joanna Goldonowicz and great-grandchildren Joseph and Amanda McCabe.  Emily will also be missed by her sister Stacia (John) Wnenta and brothers Stanley and Henry Holik as well as several nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Irene Ferreira, Ann Brightman, Joseph, John, Charlotte, Walter, Frank, and Eugene Holik

Visiting hours will be held on Thursday , August 17, 2017 from 9:00 – 10:30 am, in the Sowiecki Funeral Home, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 am, in the Holy Rosary Church, 80 Bay Street, Taunton.
