Elsie E. Tomawski (Heino) 97, of Taunton, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Morton Hospital. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph J. Tomawski.
Born in Worcester, MA, she was a daughter of the late Emil and Elma (Noponen) Heino.
She graduated from Oliver Ames High School, Easton, MA, in 1939.
Prior to retirement Mrs. Tomawski worked at Taunton State Hospital and Reed & Barton in Taunton. She then worked as a key punch operator for IBM in Harrisburg, PA and Raytheon in Dighton.
Elsie enjoyed dancing, bicycle riding, and playing bingo.
She is survived by her three children, Ronald J. Tomawski, and his wife, Barbara, of Berkley, Paul D. Tomawski, of Taunton, and Jane E. Caverio, and her husband, Lawrence, of Berkley; a brother, Gilbert Heino, of North Easton; four grandchildren, Justin Caverio, Pamela Plumer, Marnie Trombi, and John Tomawski; and seven great grandchildren, Grace, Trevor, Ben, Jayden, Caleb, Sam, and Jamason. Elsie was the sister of the late Albert Buteau, Reino Heino, and Nancy (Heino) Barboza. She was also the mother in law of the late Patricia I. (Mullarkey) Tomawski.

, December 10, 2018 from 10:00 am to 11:45 am, in the Sowiecki Funeral Home, 69 West Britannia Street, Taunton, followed by interment and committal service at 1:15 pm, in the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Connery Avenue, Bourne, MA.
