Davy Allen Jones

Davy Allen Jones, age 66, of Raynham, passed away on Saturday, November 23, 2024 at the Rhode Island Hospital in Providence, Rhode Island. He was the loving husband of Dawn (Blounts) Jones for the past thirty six years. 

Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, he was the son of the late Mary A. (McIntosh) Ramsey and Thomas Ramsey.

A proud veteran, he served his country for 20 years with honor in the United States Navy, Nuclear Submarine Fleet. After his retirement from the Navy, he worked for an environmental engineering company for close to twenty years and most recently worked as a property manager for a condominium community. 

Davy had the biggest heart, always willing to help family and friends in any way he could. He was truly a quiet, gentle giant. Davy was Dawn's "rock" and soul mate. He will be deeply missed by his loving family, as they were the center of his life. He was a devoted husband, father, and "Bampy". 

A passionate sports enthusiast, Davy enjoyed football and was an avid fan of both the Florida Gators and the Miami Dolphins. His love for cooking and baking brought joy to many; he made a delicious chocolate cake, which became a favorite among family and friends.

Besides his wife Dawn, he leaves his children, Jacquelyn Wozniak of Raynham and Thomas Jones of Marlborough; a brother, Philip Jones of Keystone Heights, FL; two sisters, Janet Bruce of Altoona, AL and Donna Jones of Melrose, FL; three grandchildren, Gabriella Wozniak, Ruby Jones, and Ben Wozniak; and many nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are cordially invited to attend his committal service and interment with military honors on Saturday, December 07, 2024 at 11:00 am, at Pleasant Street Cemetery in Raynham. Visiting hours will be respectfully omitted.
